On June 14th , 2026, experienced birders will be leading walks/hikes to five key areas in Cypress Park to record bird species and numbers. Members of FCPP and Nature Vancouver are invited to participate, along with anyone else. In last years count (the first Annual), 47 different species were recorded. Besides providing an enjoyable day in the mountains, bird counts contribute valuable information on fluctuations in bird populations and which species are increasing or decreasing.
