Volunteer With Us!

The FCPP provides valuable assistance to BC Parks on trail upgrades projects, our Trail Watch program and invasive plants monitoring. Our members have produced several park interpretive signs and brochures. We have produced a free summer hiking map. We also maintain a park photo collection.

Trail
Watch

Volunteers receive training from BC Parks and work in teams to monitor trail conditions. Trail Watch includes:

  • Litter pick-up

  • Reporting on trees fallen on trails and other hazards

  • Clearing culvert intakes and drainage ditches

  • Reporting on missing or damaged signs

  • Blocking illegal shortcuts and trails

  • Reporting on trail damage due to erosion

  • Pruning small branches and bushes along trails

  • Reporting on illegal activity (camping, fire, tree cutting, trail building, mountain biking).
